The girls senior China International Schools Sports Association (CISSA) Volleyball team from YCIS’s Century Park Campus recently attended an invitational tournament for international schools in Shanghai to compete for the coveted “British Cup”.
During the tournament, the girls played three teams in a series of heated matches. Before entering their final game, the team understood that communication would be their key to success. In the end, the sportswomen showcased the power of teamwork, practice, and willpower and ended up winning the “British Cup”.
Ms Melissia McGraw, YCIS Teacher Librarian and coach for the team helped lead the team to their volleyball victory. McGraw says, “We are super proud of the fight and determination that the team showed throughout the tournament and the support that the students gave to one another! We are all looking forward to some more amazing games as the season continues.
