The YCIS Parents Organisation Pudong (POP) has done it again, with another successful event for the school community! Every year, the parents work together to host a series of events, including the POP Picnic and Bazaar held at the Regency Park Campus. The parents’ hard work and preparations this year resulted in a fun-filled afternoon that featured a wide range of games for younger children hosted by parents and Secondary students, live musical performances by a number of talented student groups, delicious food, and a huge range of shopping vendors. Children were treated to many fun activities, including being invited to dance as a group to the music, and to trying their hand at the Dunk Booth, with their teachers and administrators lined up for the challenge! The campus turned into a picnic ground, with families and friends relaxing on picnic blankets, enjoying the music, beautiful fall weather, and the wide variety of food, including yummy treats for sale from the YCIS Girl Scouts.

The focus of POP events is to provide an opportunity for families to spend time together with other members of the school community. By creating a tight-knit, international school community, YCIS Shanghai provides a safe and encouraging environment for students to learn and grow. The strong sense of community is one of the reasons that families from over 50 countries have enrolled their children at YCIS Shanghai, and why school events like the POP Picnic and Bazaar are so well attended.
