The students were buzzing with energy to get inside and see the creatures, which included some other animals, as well. After seeing an owl, Manav said, “I think it was really sleepy and was getting a little annoyed by the goats a few feet away, because it was most likely trying to sleep because it is nocturnal.” Student observations are becoming more and more scientific as the young minds open up, just like a cocoon, and begin to explore the world around them.

Of course, there is always still time for fascination that takes the words right out of the mouth. For Trevor, the highlight of the trip was “watching snake feeding time live.” Hungry, anyone?
