Hei, Year 7, Century Park Campus
During the first semester of our Integrated Unit (computing, character education, study strategies), we were assigned to create a video on “Being 11 Years Old”. My group was made up of three people: Colin, Zeke, and me.
The process of making this video wasn’t a simple “click on the screen and done”. A great amount of planning was needed regarding the questions to be answered, how the video would look, how long it would be, etc.
The questions to be answered were easy enough, the filming was easy, but putting it all together was the hard part. To put the video clips together, each person in my group was assigned a certain theme. Each of us would take all of the videos for our themes and edit the clips. My team finished our three individual videos quite quickly, but combining them to make one video was a big challenge for us to overcome and problem solve together. We learned work with the material we had, and also learned about the importance of deadlines.
In the end, even though the outcome wasn’t as great as we had hoped it would be, it was a really fun project! We had some great moments working together when recording the video clips, and in the end, we got through it as a team.
