We are delighted to announce that Zoe from YCIS Shanghai Puxi has received a conditional offer of the Hotel Administration major from Cornell University.
Founded in 1865, Cornell University is a private Ivy League university with a mission to "discover, preserve, and disseminate knowledge". With more than 15,000 undergraduate students and 2,000 faculty members, the institution strives to provide research and public engagement opportunities. The Hotel Administration degree has always been most sought after at Cornell University, but it also imposes some of the most rigorous requirements.
The Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration was ranked the number one hotel management by CEOWORLD Magazine in the publication’s list of "Best Hospitality and Hotel Management Schools in the World for 2022".
Zoe joined YCIS Shanghai Puxi in Year 9, and has always been an exemplary student, with extensive experience in art curation, having interned at multiple art galleries. She harbors a passion for social sciences, history, and psychology, and is an active participant in Model United Nations. These experiences have propelled her to the forefront among a pool of competitive candidates.
Apart from this piece of good news, we are also glad to announce that Jasmine from YCIS Pudong has received a conditional offer of the Medicine and Surgery major from the University of Hong Kong with a partial scholarship.
Founded in 1911, The University of Hong Kong (HKU) stands as a premier institution of higher education, renowned for its academic excellence and global impact. In the 2024 QS World University Rankings, HKU is placed 26th, reflecting its status as a world-class university. The application process for HKU's medical program is known for its high level of difficulty, attracting only the most dedicated and academically accomplished students.
Jasmine joined YCIS Shanghai Pudong in Year 2 and is a dedicated, extremely hard-working student whose passion for medicine and biological sciences is inspiring. Her fervor and commitment have made her a standout candidate for this competitive field. Securing a partial scholarship in such a rigorous and sought-after program is a testament to her exceptional capabilities and potential in the medical profession.
