Century Park Campus recently held its annual Maths and Science Week. The event celebrated the importance of these two disciplines, and gave students many opportunities to put their skills into action in very fun and educational ways.
Over the course of the week, a number of engaging, school-wide activities were held, including game show-style quizzes in assemblies, daily QR code quizzes that were strategically promoted around campus, and a bake sale that featured delicious treats with both periodic table and Pi Day themes. In total, the bake sale raised over RMB 1,600 yuan for the Shanghai-based charity, Heart to Heart.
The week ended with the highly anticipated “Science and Maths YCIS Rush”, a series of fun and collaborative team challenges. Students competed in staff-run activities, such as mind-boggling puzzles, physics games, chemistry brainteasers, and mathematical contests in order to win points for their house.
In all, the exciting week was a very fun and interactive way to further enthuse students about their Maths and Science studies. To learn more about the Secondary programmes at YCIS, including Maths and Science, click here.
